Oh my, there is no question I now need Skyline in my body today. I suggest either the cans or the spice packets and cooking up your own batch stovetop style.
Don’t forget the oyster crackers;)

Greg, you know I love you bro, but it’s not possible to appreciate Skyline Chili unless you live in Cincinnati or at least experience it there. Glad you liked it, but do you think you would know the joy of Anna’s Taqueria if it came to you via Food Lion?
In fact, it DOES look like it does on the box if you get a 5 way at a real Skyline. Also, you majorly $@%(ed up the cheese. It has to be piled higher than the P&G building and needs to be shredded very fine and fluffed up. They should give you the cheese instead of the spaghetti. I agree.
It’s an acquired taste— either that or everything tastes good after drinking 4 Hudy Delights, http://www.hudydelightbeer.com/, which, since I’m the Belching Monkey, will tell you right now is a lot like battery acid or paint thinner.
BTW- one of the reasons I watch everytime is to see if you burn yourself.
Another AWESOME Freezer Burns. I can’t wait to see what you do next.

Don’t listen to Schneider – I have many memorable nights perched over my college throne compliments of Hudy. it’s a delightful beverage.

I’m not sure what the hype is… I am from Cleveland and Skyline just doesn’t work for me.
Maybe it’s brown color, the smell I don’t know??? I am more of the meaty Texas chili kind of guy. Either way, good in depth review!!

Favorite part: the comedic timing of the canned TV laughter in the background and your “plate is volcanic” line.
Another tasty episode. Like the ethnic detective work in deciphering the recipe.

as a current and life long cincinnatian, i must say that you did not put nearly enough cheese on it. skyline actually sells their cheese in the grocery store as well. mild cheddar and finely shredded. also, the mixing of the chili/spaghetti/cheese is a no-no. you layer everything and slice/scoop it to get each layer. skyline sells frozen chili without the spaghetti if you wanted to experience it that way. if you purchased the chili by itself you could make skyline dip with it as well (cream cheese, chili, cheese). if you do attempt skyline eating again with onions or beans, make sure the onions are chopped very fine, diced, so you get the full experience. i agree with a previous poster as well, you really have to experience skyline AT skyline, especially if youre a newbie.

If you like a 3-way, you should try the coney, which is a hot dog with the chili and cheese. Awesome. No one knows the exact recipe, they’d have to kill you if they told you, but we’ve heard here in Cincinnati there is chocolate, nutmeg in it. You either love it or hate it. If you grew up with it, you can’t imagine NOT eating it. They also sell it in cans, like you suggested, so you can make your own. They also sell the finely shredded cheese in bags too. But thanks for reviewing it. Football and basketball games wouldn’t be the same without going to Skyline afterwards.

You walked away with the box and then you walked back with it. Wow. I thought it would be done by then.

go with the frozen chili-only. Make your own noodles, kidney beans, cheese, onions, and oyster crackers. It is a passable substitute for the real deal in Cincy.

Paige, I have gotten Elvis and John Belushi before but never John Cusack. Regardless, thanks!
