One Word Review: Sara Lee Dutch Apple Pie
Posted by: Gregory Ng: The Frozen Food Master
Nobody Doesn’t Like Sara Lee. That’s the tagline for Sara Lee and most people mistakenly think it says, “Nobody does it like Sara Lee”. But although the tagline is a double negative, the quality and taste of the Sara Lee Dutch Apple Pie is a double positive. Great streusal, great flakey crust. Yum.
FreezerBurnsTM is a video review show on a mission to deliver you real reviews and real answers to one of life’s most stressful decisions: choosing the best frozen foods on the planet. Greg is the Frozen Food MasterTM and acts as both food critic and guinea pig. Join him every tuesday and friday as he eats his way through the freezer aisle one box at a time, only on Hungry Nation.

Yep! That’s probably the #1 frozen apple pie that I’d go to…in a pinch. Apple pies are pretty easy to make but if someone wants one on short notice….off to Safeway for the Sandra Lee

“Nobody Doesn’t Like Sara Lee” is really the tagline? I’m under the “most people” category because I always thought it was “Nobody does it like Sara Lee”. I am disturbed by this information. That pie looks really good though.

Greg, I love this dessert. My favorite frozen apple pie.
Question – do you ever hit up the Costco frozen food section for your foods? Do you have a Costco near you?
I know that personally it is one of my top 3 locations from which I get my frozen foods (along with Trader Joe’s and the local Vons supermarket).
