USER SUBMITTED REVIEW

As the winner of the Healthy Choice meal giveaway, I felt that I must review the meals that the Frozen Food master so graciously gave me coupons for. I went to one of my local supermarkets and took my time to choose my meal. I wanted to try out their steamer basket and the picture on this box looked great. When the description reads “Angel hair pasta is the beautiful base for grilled chicken tenderloins, roasted garlic, and tomatoes in a balsamic vinaigrette sauce,” it is hard to go wrong.

The directions for cooking were quite simple, remove the steam basket and microwave for 4-5 minutes. The nice thing about the basket is that it is self venting and I did not have to puncture it. The sauce for the meal was below the basket that the food was steaming in and then you are required to mix it in. When I removed the food from the microwave, I immediately noticed the smell, it was fantastic.

All in all, I thought that it tasted pretty good. I really liked the whole pieces of roasted garlic (except there were only 2). The pasta was fine and the chicken was cooked well with large pieces, both tasted like the sauce. The sauce was supposed to be a balsamic vinaigrette, but it was more like a generic brown sauce. The tomatoes did not play a factor and for me were more for show. My only major problem was the size, I finished and was hungry. Granted I had just gotten back from the gym, so that may have had something to do with it.
