Episode 92: Archer Farms Bacon Wrapped Chicken
Posted by: Gregory Ng: The Frozen Food Master
Bacon wrapped anything is awesome right? I mean, you can wrap bacon around a moldy sponge and I will no doubt pop it into the oven and give it a whirl. So when I found this Archer Farms Bacon Wrapped Chicken I was ready to get this into my belly. It has chicken breast filets wrapped in hickory smoked lightly peppered bacon and I couldn’t be more excited about a product.

I’ve always wanted to try the archer farms target frozen foods. One time a frozen crabcake entree caught my eye but when I grabbed the box it felt like there were like 2 crabcakes in there when it was supposed to be 8 so I put it back. I’ll start looking at these again next time I’m at super target, I love trying new frozen foods out too

Peppercorns it is
“Epic 2-day….unnecessarily..2-day review shoot…” Haha
I was right along with you on this one…as soon as you said crisscross I was hoping for the Kriss Kross drop (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7SjKy8lAg0)….remember these songs:

….also when you had the chicken split I was like “just take a bit right out of it there”…and sure enough
I found a bacon hater by the way:

Another good review!

The bacon looked too underdone to me. I like really crisp, not “soggy”. You should spend a day making a whole bunch of episodes that you could stick up when you aren’t feeling well. Just change your shirt in between products. BTW, you must not have had the flu. With the flu, food really looks unappetizing. Probably just a spring cold, which still sucks.

Hi Greg,
Your review was like a movie with a twist at the end,the chicken and bacon sure did look like something that would be really tasty. At 3.5 stars…I might still give it a shot, I love bacon.
There is a Target pretty close to me, but when I think of food, for some reason the Target store doesn’t pop into my head.I gotta go check it out.
@Meg, I seem to like bacon both ways, a little bit limpy and a little bit crispy.(I had to make up my own word for that)

Planning to go to Target this week. I’ve never tried Archer Farms products before. Looks like I’ll have to pick some up.

Greg, thanks for the shout out…I am a big-time bacon fan and was disappointed to see that this bacon did not hold up well…and yes, I too failed that quiz in the fourth grade, note to all the kids viewing…read ALL the directions…

Why not thaw in the microwave and cook in the oven?
