“It’s defin …. wow um… Okay!”

lol

“HAHA someone cut the cheddar” LOL

It is interesting how you noted that stouffers is a sharp cheddar.

Nice review!! Really nice.
Gee 10 minutes in the microwave suprised me for the stouffers. Greg, I am kind of suprised that Stouffers won I thought Boston had it!

Does anybody watch Good Eats on Food Network? Cause I was watching the mac and cheese episode and apparently macaroni just refers to a noodle made with semolina flour and no eggs, and nothing to do with shape.

Oh no, Greg! The “latest posts” box needs to move back to the top. Pleasepleaseplease. I would imagine that most of your readers are simply browsing as opposed to looking for something specific (I know that’s how I got hooked – I just started clicking around on the most recent posts), and having the latest posts waaaaaaaaaaaaaay down the page makes that more difficult. Fix, please!

@skye yes, you ARE correct. The rotini is technically Macaroni.

@Stefanie, Thanks for the feedback. Its moved back…because you are awesome.

Wow, Stouffer’s it is….shoulda figured….but how it came about was fantastic. Incredible week, incredible Frodown….it truly was epic. That must have been quite labor intensive. You’ve certainly given us a great insight into the nuances of all them Mac an’ Cheeses (Mac and….cheeseeeessssesss).

I like the cockiness of Stoufer’s with the two bowls of M&C, like you’re gonna love it SO much you’ll be feeding it to all your family & friends. Which reminds me…the bowl on Amy’s box was just a lugged soup bowl…not a tureen.

I like the safety first for your girl hands :) It’s important you know….gotta keep ‘em that way.

Speaking of Boston….how about the Magic last night, huh? Come on game 7!!! That’ll make for a fun Sunday.

You can always put the Bachelor Bite’s touch on any of the M&Cs to make them that much better:

P.S. Love the new additions and adjustments to the site. Makes it super easy to find stuff. Can I offer a little critques? Maybe add “previous/next post” links on each post. And possibly tweak the comments so that line breaks show up. Thanks for the terrific reviews, this was one for the ages and I’m sure is concidering numero uno now especially if you lump them all together.

Hi Greg, that’s what I said a week ago that rotini is technically macoroni. It is sort of confusing. I always thought growing up the way you did regarding that. Check out my vid on youtube if you have the chance. I compare chicken of the sea tuna to kroger tuna in a can.

Hey, who is impersonating me!! This is my first comment on the review. YOU scum, be a man and do your own name!

Anyway, Greg, the best review you’ve done to date! Very, very through. And I think you made everyone happy. Stouffer’s is KING, maybe you’ll be featured on their website :) Quick question, did you actually save all the meals from the past few days or nuke up new ones?

@Meg, its the power of video. I actually can now reveal that I taped (and ate) all 5 episodes in one night!

@meg I was wondering the same thing if he nuked up new ones or used the same ones. If I had to guess, I believe that he probably went out and re purchased all of the boxes that he used in his original demonstrations and re cooked them all.

WOW, ate all 5 mac and cheese dinners in one evening!! I assumed (hope) the family helped. Too much of a good thing can cause you to swear off of it for a long, long time. I wondered if you ever ate a non frozen meal…now I know

Well, let me be clear: I tested all 5 in one night. As you can see from the final segment, they all had quite a bit left. I just ate what you saw me eat on camera basically.

All in all, I probably ate the equivalent of half of one of those boxes.

ACKKKK!! Greg, you let all that beautiful mac and cheese go to waste?!?! Next time you have an epic Fro-down, you must invite us all over or get a big hungry dog to take care of any leftovers ;)

OK. Now that you’ve gotten that out of the way you should do a ghetto mac cheese frodown. You could put Michelina’s and Budget Gourmet against Swanson and whatever others you may able to find for under $1.50. But first remember, whatever doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger. :)

I did try the Amy’s mac and cheese last night, yes i agree with what Greg had said about it.
Well done with the reviews, and over a period of time i will try the Boston market, and the Stouffer’s.

Thanks Greg :-)

P.S. Its just luck that I have a Trader Joe’s close to where I work, but I agree with your decision of not putting it in your review, its just a store that is not that common.
But the four cheese cheddar, swiss, havarti, and gouda mac and cheese sounds mouth watering!! I’m going to try that one tonight due to popular review ;-)

Great week Greg. The Stouffer’s finale was appropriate. I used to decimate boxes of Stouffer’s Mac and Cheese back in High School…I would overcook it to create the crusty edges…epic.

i always pop the stouffer’s mac and cheese in the toaster oven to crisp up the top and edges. love the crispiness with the gooey insides. i don’t know if i’ve simply eaten this one so many times or what, but the stouffer’s mac and cheese surpasses the “fancy” ones that i’ve tried at restaurants. stouffer’s makes a quality product.

Stouffers all the way. I've head the Boston Market mac cheese in the restaurant that is almost exactly the same as that. No way would it compare, too cheesy not creamy enough. I could only eat it with chicken and rice or something else because it's way too salty. I could eat Stouffers mac n cheese and nothing else for 3 meals a day and be satisfied. It's that good in my opinion.

If you think 10 minutes is long, president's choice macaroni and cheese takes 21 minutes in the microwave :P
I wish you had reviewed that one though, it's the greatest.
