Hungry, hungry, hungry! I’m a hungry dude these days and what better way to try to satisfy the hunger pains than a Hungry Man one pounder. This time it is the new Hungry-Man Grilled Bourbon Steak Strips, beef steak strips in a bourbon sauce with herb rice and green beans.

Now with Hungry-Man meals it tends to be quantity over quality. Will this one be any different?

That was an emphatic “the Frozen Food MASTER!!!”

Semantics…semantics…I'd say Hungrey-Men, just 'cause it's funnier. It's “erb”, Herb is my uncle…no not really, my uncles are Gunther, Bob, Bob, Bob & Shelby :P

You got me thinking….how come you only see double/triple/quad burgers and not double/triple/quad chicken Ssandwiches??? How cool would it be in BK had a Tendercrisp Triple Chicken Sangwich? Awesome, that's how cool!

I think you might have upset the Green Giant talking down on canned green beans.

Uggh, so unappetizing the beef you're describing…I really don't enjoy frozen meats…especially frozen burger patties.

NO DESSERT!!!! ….and they tease you with the others?!? Wow…that's too much…where's my Kid's Cuisine?

  • Meg

    “steak”= roadkill = gameiness
Your dessert was the Bourbon Sauce…how many grams of sugar was in that bad boy?

Your perspective comment was great….the stats look bad, UNTIL you compare it with eating out.

  • Todd

I call these Swanson Sweaty Man dinners :-)
I do remember when they came in an aluminum foil container with an aluminum foil top on it. And the only option was the oven. hehe
@Bear, yeah you bring up a good point, why only single patty chicken…hmm, that would be good to have double and triple with fat slabs of mozzarella cheese between each one, yummy!

I've commented on this here before, but that is a near toxic dose of sodium. That is about the max recommended amount for an entire day in one meal. People should be aware of the health risks (cardiovascular disease, stroke, heart failure, and kidney disease) of a high sodium diet. There's no reason frozen food should be bad for you.

Greg makes a very good that most eateries' (Applebee's, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Outback, etc.) meals contain the same or worse amounts of sodium too. That's not even counting the McD's, Taco Bells, KFCs. Consumers have many many choices with what they can put in their bodies. It's up to them to be educated and informed and to make the proper decisions. Anything in moderation is okay and anything in excess will normally harm. It's really simple. People should not have to be babied or hand-held or constantly told the ill effects for certain diets….they should just do the research on their own and come to their own conclusion as to what they'd like to eat, how they'd like to exercise and how they'd like to live.

You had me until the sodium…wow thats insane

  • Sarge

The Nutritional Facts on that full meal are good except for the sodium. I wonder… if they cut the sodium in half would it still taste pretty good? I think it would.
