Ben and Jerry’s, seriously? I’m seriously flipping out about this ice cream. This is the best frozen, pre-packaged ice cream I’ve ever had. Peanut butter, chocolate, vanilla, fudge, and brownies in one bite? Yep. Honestly, they nailed all of these flavors without any overpowering aftertastes. The fudge melted in my mouth as the rest of the flavors did their thing. Ben and Jerry’s just set a whole new level of ice cream with Flipped Out.

Instead of coming in a pint or the single serve cups, Flipped Out comes in a pack of two with four ounce containers. At $4 per half pint, it is pricy, but well worth it. It’s as good as fresh Cold Stone if you ask me. It’s different than the normal frozen ice creams, you have to peel the lid, flip it on a plate, then push the ice cream onto the plate with the tab at the bottom of the container. It was much easier than I thought, and slid out perfectly without any mess whatsoever. It leaves the fudge on top, and brownies on the bottom of the plate.

The package lists the fudge as “gooey.” It was hard at first, but it definitely melts into goo once it hits the palate. The peanut butter swirl on this ice cream is nothing short of amazing. It sits perfectly with the brownies and chocolate fudge. This ice cream takes Chocolate Fudge Brownie to the next level. If you already like Ben and Jerry’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, and Peanut Butter Cup, Flipped Out takes elements from each of these to the next level. I strongly recommend picking up a package of Ben and Jerry’s latest Flipped Out ice cream the next time you’re strolling through your local freezer aisle.

Can you just eat it "upside down" or does it leak?

  • Zach, WOW! I think I would absolutely love this. Ben & Jerry are good at what they do...that's for sure.

"It’s different than the normal frozen ice creams..." so question, when is ice cream not frozen :P

I always like to let my ice creams soften up a bit before I dig in....sometimes thats hard to do.
