Ewwww, that's probably the best sum up! That sangwich is massive. Who buys these…honestly.

Have you seen the default pick for this vid? It's more like Angry-Man :)

It's been awhile since we had a 1-worder…I'm wondering what this new feature will be.

Heh, I was wondering if anyone was going to comment on that. I didnt realize how angry I looked in the intro until I rewatched it. I wasn't really angry…until I took that bite.

I find your expression (both facial and verbal) in the beginning hilarious.

Ok so this is where the structure of the One Word Review can be somewhat limiting. There is way more to this story than what you see on camera or what I put in the description.

The first bite was…let's just say, “Interesting.” Anyone who has had scrapple before will know that is what it tastes like. I grew up in Philly so I have had quite my share.

But a couple of bites later it got downright scary. The meat was fatty and full of gristle, it was hard to chew and even harder to swallow. I wanted to give it a fair shake and ended up shaking my head no as I let the chewed up gristle fall out of my mouth.

Thus the 1 star rating. And for those who are interested , although it was super bad, it was NOT worse than the Deli Express Barbecue Deluxe.

Hey, someone has do do the deed of eating his way through the freezer aisle one box at a time, right? Even though he's probably eaten many good things, being the ff master sometimes means eating gristle sandwiches from the microwave. I salute you, Greg.

On a “calories per dollar” basis it isn't bad. Let's say you were iced in the Arctic for three months, or your plane crashed in the Andes … those fat calories would come in handy.

As I have never tried either this sandwich or the Deli Express one, I certainly wouldn't know… I just would have expected that covering the meat in barbecue sauce would help to disguise the flavor, whereas the Hungry-Man sandwich doesn't seem to have any sauce/condiment to “hide” under. That Deli Express sandwich must have been AWFUL then! (And I don't think I really want to find out for myself.)

From what I could see while watching your review, the Hungry-Man sandwich *looked* like it was rather gristly; I'm not surprised by how you described it. For me that's one of the worst flaws a piece of meat can have; it can't get much worse than a mouthful of gristle. I must confess that I've never had scrapple, so I have no frame of reference for that comparison.

For what it's worth, I really enjoy the One Word Reviews… in general I prefer the longer video reviews (for the obvious reasons: more descriptive, more informative, etc), but the occasional One Word Review is a lot of fun to watch as well; glad to see that you haven't given up on them entirely.

As always, keep up the great work… and way to take one for the team by tasting the gristle sandwich!

Scrapple huh? But scrapple is so mushy. That's the main reason I don't like scrapple to be honest. Does it manage to taste like scrapple despite the gristle? I may have to buy that horrid sandwich just to see ^_^
