One Word Review: Lean Cuisine Chicken Fettuccini

Posted by: Gregory Ng: The Frozen Food Master

Can an alfredo sauce possibly taste good if it has Lean Cuisine credentials? I mean, doesn’t something “lean” go totally against everything good about creamy, fatty alfredo sauce? That’s why I needed to taste the Lean Cuisine Chicken Fettuccini and find out if it’s for real.

You “do” say! My fam loves this stuff. We get it for $2 (5 for $10) at Safeway. You gotta let the sauce cool a bit to thicken and become creamy! Can't beat it for that price…plus with a little crushed black pepper, good-bye Olive Garden. No, who am I kidding, nothing beats their endless breadsticks & salad….I swear they put an addictive chemical in that stuff that makes you crave it fortnightly.

Alfre “do”, as in “do 'in it right” or Alfre “doo-doo”? Well, you didn't make a face, so I guess the first. I like Bear's suggestion of cooling/pepper, nice glass of wine…oh wait, the last one was my idea :)

I think this may be one LC I haven't tried.

I totally agree. Always looked forward to when the alfredo came up in the frozen meal lunch rotation.
