LOL Deep fried French Bread! Got to watch that with Randy, he's gonna be all over that!
I use to eat those all the time as a kid!

I love my wave. It came with the house so I didn't get to pic it out but it is very powerful! My only issue is that it is above the stove so it's hard to clean with my bad arm, got to use a chair to reach it.

My microwave info:
GE Spacemaker
Serial # RG9089741K
It was wade in August 2004
Model # JVM1631BJ01

Thanks ShirtPizza for the FB Episode! Sweet shirt.

All I knew was Stouffer's, never heard of this Helios. I've never been a huge fan of the French Bread pizzas. I must admit they were always improved at least with a little Tabasco. I'm usually a huge proponent of the crunch but not with these….it gets that hard/stale thing after something gets nuked.

To newer viewers….Greg has and is also referring/catering to the lowest common denominator. Some people (frat boys) may not have an oven, etc. Most everyone has access to a micro.

“Traditional frozen pizza smell” Haha, that's seems funny to me. The pizza on garlic bread reminds me of an episode of The Next Food Network Star where one of the contestants makes a burger using garlic bread….genius!

I gots me the Stainless Steel KitchenAid 27 in. Combination Wall Oven and Microwave. It's sweet. Of course its got the turntable. Also really nice is that the micro doubles as a convection oven…which is really good on Thanksgiving.

F-Yeah!!!! DFed Stouffer's….my guess, ya damn right it makes it better!!!

Ok try now. If it works now then I know the issue. Blip.tv changed their embed code to display all vids in Flash 9. I re-embedded it using the old flash code.

Alright!! Please don't bread the one you are going to deep fry…pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze.
Anyway, I haven't had one of these pizza's for a long, long time. Of course now I would probably go with the Lean Cuisine version. As for microwave, it's a samsung with turntable, don't know the model number, but it works very well.

I haven't had one of those in probably over a decade. I don't know why, they were always good.

As far as my microwave goes, it's a Sharp carousel model, maybe three years old, with a busted interior light. It does the job, though.

I love these. I keep a few of them at work and toss them in the toaster oven for lunch. 1 is really not enough though, sorry. Also, ha ha on the deep fryer standoff with the wife. My first Lake Perch fish fry hung around the house for a few days and we almost had a similar situation.

First off…Stouffers French Bread over Elios?? I think not..if I were not an ardent follower you would have lost me here Frozen Food Master. I grew up on Elios and still get it once in a while even though instead of 9 servings, it is now 2ish.

I cant tell you the brand microwave offhand, but its a wierd one. Shaped like a cube and has no buttons on the outside. You have to actually open to the door to set times. It gets the job done, but I got it mostly because it was smaller than the one i inherited from my parents that was from the early 80s and was massive.

Looking forward to tomorrows episode, should be awesome no matter what.

Elios retains some nostalgic value to me but come on Matt, you cannot honestly say Elios is better than Stouffers!

This pizza is amazing in the toaster oven. It's quicker, there's less pre-heating time, and it just is really, really good.

Great review as always Greg. My microwave is a GE Spacesaver which does a good job of heating up food, but I don't like the fact that when I push a number, it automatically cooks it for that number of minutes (i.e. press 2 and it heats for 2 minutes).

I can and do! I am an Elios man through and through, but will eat Stouffers, but given both I would go with the the big E.

We have a Sharp Stainless Carousel Compact R290H(S)
Nice and compact so it doesnt take up so much room in the kitchen. Which means more space for other gadgets :)

I eat these things all the time. You don't need all of those steps for the “microbake”. Preheat a toaster oven (I LOVE mine) to 475, put the pizza on a plate, microwave to directions, put pizza on toaster grate until done. I throw some banana pepper rings on it before the it goes into the toaster. Maybe 6-7 min total. Try the White/garlic Pizza ones!!!!
