I have a love affair with Super Target..maybe it’s my Twin Cities roots. Anyway, I have been eyeballing the Target house brand (ie Archer Farms) pizza for months. So finally I decided to take the plunge.

Looks – Good layer of cheese, scattering of mushrooms and about 1/2 dozen of asparagus chunks.

Smell – Smells very mushroomy. Slight cheese smell. Can only smell the asparagus if you are sniffing directly over a piece.

Taste – Cheese is very creamy, almost like a sauce as opposed to the stringy cheese I would have expected on a “non diet” pizza. I personally don’t like cheese sauce, so this immediately knocks it down a star. Can definately taste the mushrooms, but I could not really tell if there were three different types of mushrooms or not. The asparagus was firm, but not tough and stringy. Would have liked to see more of the tops, rather than the stalk part on the pizza. The crust is crispy, but chewy within.

Overall the taste is pleasant, the quality is good, but needed more spice. I would probably try another AF pizza, but would only get this one again, if I needed a appetizer and would then cut it into a bunch of little squares.

I lived in Golden Valley while in High school, went to the U of M (go Gophers!), lived in Powderhorn park after graduation, moved to Brooklyn Park a year later. Now in Chicago. BTW, just did a bike ride in SE MN (Bicycling around Minnesota)...beautiful area!
