So I mixed up the batter and she licked the beater

Cool drink of water such a sweet surprise

In this frodown, I taste test 2 Cherry pies head to head. The contenders: Sara Lee Oven Fresh Cherry Pie and the Mrs. Smith’s Classic Cherry Pie. Who will come out victorious? Who will make a grown man cry? The Frozen Food Master will tell you!

  • I was always confused about the Sara Lee jingle, too. Ha.

    Bit of trivia for you, Greg--those pie pictures on the box? One of the tricks they use to get them looking so perfect is taking a pie stuffed with mashed potatoes, baking it to get the color on the crust, cutting a slice, and then shoving those cherries into the mashed potatoes one by one and brushing on some of that thick syrup juice. That's why the pieces look so thick and nice. Just thought you might be interested. :)

    I was saying yesterday how much I love Apple Pie, I do like a good Cherry Pie. I suppose I'm a more Crumble person though.
    BEst cherry pie I've had here in the UK had to be the Cherry Pie in Esquires Coffee House, you'll have no idea where I mean probably.

    Best I've had was at Bubby's in Manhattan. Also the best blueberry, incidentally - they make good pies.
