Episode 220: The Pecan Pie Frodown

Posted by: Gregory Ng: The Frozen Food Master

Who likes sweet nuts? I have always found pecan pie to be a real interesting dessert. From the looks of it, someone had some pie crusts and a warehouse club tub of petroleum jelly and then decided to add a bed of nuts to the top to keep it from exploding into flubber. Yet, people really like it. Sometimes, I am one of those people who prefer a nice rich buttery pecan pie. Sometimes, I am not.

In this frodown, I taste test two Pecan Pies head to head. The Edwards Georgia Pecan Pie takes on the Sara Lee Southern Pecan Pie. Who will come out victorious? The Frozen Food Master will tell you!

This episode and the rest of the episodes published this week are inspired by Evan Kleiman’s Pie-A-Day Project. Evan is baking a pie every day this summer!

it's pe-cahhhhhn. it's true, you were saying it that way too when you forgot to intersperse them.
anyway, not a huge fan of the pecahn pies.

    suggestions for next area: breakfast!

i think you should branch out to other venues; you review food really well and I could love to see some non-frozen food reviews. maybe not on this site, that would be wrong.
