Episode 223: TigerThai Shrimp and Vegetable Nests

Posted by: Gregory Ng: The Frozen Food Master

This must fall in the category of foods that try to have the container be the food. Like a bread bowl. Or an ice cream cone. In this case it was battered vegetables formed as nests and a tempura shrimp on top. It seems like a professional appetizer ready to get into the Frozen Food Master’s belly. And that’s exactly what he did with these TigerThai Shrimp and Vegetable Nests.

these are always more enjoyable when i can actually find the products you’re reviewing.

in the past few weeks, you haven’t reviewed anything available commonly in the midwest other than pies.

maybe you can do polls for reviews people actually want to see and review based on the results?

I have been watching since the beginning and this might be my first comment. Its been awhile so forgive me if I forgot if I have before. But I want you to know that I really dont like the new style of editing. The quick cuts make it not as original and that was the best part of Freezer Burns. I hope this batch of episodes are the only ones to get this treatment and that you go back to how it was. It wasnt broke.

Things felt a lot smoother this time around, Greg. I’m kinda partial to the looooooong FB episodes, but I think you’re finding a real good formula with the quick cuts.

@Spanky Thanks for making your first comment! Sorry you arent digging the new format. I am working to find the right formula. Hopefully you will continue to enjoy where I end up.

@Colin Thanks. Its an evolution. Glad you feel I am moving in the right direction.

This was perfect Greg!
I love you!
I knew you’d get it right! The perfect number of cuts, but you kept it feeling like the FFM I know and adore man! You kept original, funny, and just cut out stuff I don’t mind missing out on!
This was the perfect length, and I think you’re super awesome! Thanks so much Greg, you’ve made my day!
I love prawns, they clal shrimp prawns in the UK. I love all sorts of prawn meals, they’re amazing. I hate prawn mayonaisse though.
Once again Greg, stunning! This was perfect.

Interesting product, it would be perfect for office Christmas parties if only you could nuke them (guess you could always bring in a toaster oven).

Great job with this episode, still using the new format but a lot smoother…and I really like the nutrition facts on the screen instead of reading them.

I saw these bad boys on VIC at Harris Teeter and I didn’t get them, now I’m regretting it.

Keep it up!

Enjoyed that you didn’t have as many cuts. Looking better! I would suggest setting a number of cuts you are going to allow yourself (say something like six) and film knowing that going into it. That way you will move a bit faster and keep the run time down yet you won’t have the shock factor of so many quick cuts. Enjoying that I can get through these faster now. Fits my schedule much better :) Keep rockin’ Greg!

This episode was MUCH better in terms of the number of cuts and where the cuts were. Felt more smooth.
