Episode 246: Mrs Paul’s Crispy Fish Fillets
Posted by: Gregory Ng: The Frozen Food Master
Mrs. Paul decided to make her Crispy Fish Fillets with a “crunchier taste”. Not quite sure how something can taste crunchier. Crunchy has never really been a flavor for me but whatever. I popped these things in the oven, flipped them halfway through and got them in my belly…

I tried some of the trident frozen fish that you reviewed a while back and have to agree with your glowing review – it’s superior to some of the national name brands. The fish is firm, not mushy. The breading didn’t have very much oil in it so the pan wasn’t quite the greasy mess it is when making other brands of fish filets. They really are a cut above VDK or MP.

I usually eat me some fish on a Friday night, and I always have it with Reggae Reggae Sauce, it’s awesome.
If you don’t have it in America then it’s basically a spicy, herby, peppery, jamaican style tomato ketchup. Delicious!

When it comes to fish and chips, I go for the malt vinegar.

Having seen the Mrs Paul's fish ad with the precocious four/five year old girl giving her mother crap for serving her a different brand, and the mother immediately pacifying the little brat with Mrs. Paul's..I think this ad is a disgrace..all it promotes is young kids with attitude and disrespect for parents. ..not exactly fit for young children to watch..and I am guessing that the target audience is pretty young.
