Episode 249: Henry & Lisa’s Wild Alaskan Fish Nuggets

Posted by: Gregory Ng: The Frozen Food Master

There are a ton of frozen fried fish products out on the shelves these days and they all seem to offer the same promises of whole fillets, no trans fat, and light batters. But is there a frozen fish product that can rise above the rest? Judging from the credentials on the box of this Henry & Lisa’s Wild Alaskan Fish Nuggets, this may be the most guilt-free fish nugget on the planet. But how does it taste?

Wow, I’ve never even seen, let alone eaten a fish nugget here in the UK. I haven’t even had a fish finger in years.
Sorry to admit the audio was a tiny bit annoying, but either it got better or I got used to it nearer the end.
I love Ben & Jerry’s Baked Alaska if that counts? It should definitely count!

Thanks for the heads up on the audio, thought I’d messed up the sound card on my MBP. Wife loves fish sticks, so I’m def. gonna pick some of these up.

BTW, You need to review some Trader Joe’s stuff man…there’s some good stuff over there!

Favorite thing about Alaska–Sarah Palin. Honesty is a rare commodity.

I just stumbled onto this site when I googled 'freezer burn', which my wife frequently does to our meat.
I really like the honesty in the Frozen Food Master reviews. You know what the demanding consumer/foodie is looking for. Frozen Food Feeding is usually equivalent to Frequent buyers remorse , so thanks for weeding out the weak.

Great show….sounds like some good fish….my experience with fish is that it is so sensitive to heat, the time between undercooked and “just right” and overcooked is very slight. Anyhow, my fave thing about Alaska probably is that so much of it is unexplored…..and that it is so vast and sparsely populated.
