Episode 272: REVIEW Marie Callender’s Country Fried Pork Chop

Posted by: Gregory Ng: The Frozen Food Master

There is a ton of fried chicken meals out in the freezer aisle but very rarely do you come cross the “other white meat” represented with some DFG® (Deep Fried Goodness). This Marie Callender’s Country Fried Pork Chop stood out for me because of its bacon and cheese mashed potatoes and its hunk of fried meat. But just because its fried and from the pig does not mean it is worth the money or worth the space in my belly.

The Frozen Food Master reviews this product, shows you how it looks, tells you how it tastes, and gives you the lowdown in this episode of Freezerburns.

am i crazy or did i just only today notice the different layout for the side panel links and such? great review as always, i'm a fan of most marie callender's stuff

mashed potatoes great with anything, sometimes I enjoy it plain, or baked potato style with some sour cream, cheese, chives, and bacon, and sometimes I like a bit of franks red hot on it (weird I know)

I like garlic mashed potatoes with the potato's skins mixed in. The skin has all the nutrients.

Hey, I have a suggestion: you have a ton of options for finding different reviews to watch, but nowhere do you have an option to just watch them chronologically. I'm not here every day, and I'd like to be able to page back for a ways to catch the episodes that I've missed. Or, you know, just watch them from the beginning.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have added a link on the top navigation called “Review Archive” where you can click through to every review. Hope this helps!

Just found this place when I was looking for laptop reviews of all things….Excellent site

Best Mashed Potatoes for me include… Bacon, Sour Cream, Cheese, gravy and a touch of Mint Sauce.

My wife makes some wicked Garlic mashed potatoes. Now my ultimate would include about a pound of fresh bacon and real butter! I'm not a Sour cream fan at all

Yes. Anything with a pound of bacon and butter would be good in my mouth.

Dinner was good except!!! Leave the pepper out of the potatoes and gravy! Let the customer put his own spice on his food. I hate cooks placing spices on my food without my consent!! I don't like hot food—-
