Review of Morning Star Farms Sweet & Sour Chik’n (Episode 299)

Posted by: Gregory Ng: The Frozen Food Master

Morning Star Farms rarely lets me down. Sure there was that incident with the fake bacon flavored bookmark a few years ago but in recent products that I have reviewed I have been impressed by their fake meat skillz. So when I saw this Morning Star Farms Sweet & Sour Chik’n meal in the freezer aisle I was ready to roll up my sleeves and dig into this fake chicken delicacy. Unfortunately, it did not turn out the way I wanted it to.

The Frozen Food Master reviews this product, shows you how it looks, tells you how it tastes, and gives you the lowdown in this episode of Freezerburns.

Thanks but no thanks for chick'n. I'm not old enough for denture food.

I substitute free-range buffalo for beef at every opportunity. A couple bloody rare buffalo burgers for breakfast, a couple for lunch and a couple more for dinner. No cheese, condiments or fixins, just meat on a bun with a bag of potato chips.

Morningstar Farm griller's prime is awesome. It tastes better than beef in my opinion.

I don't know if you've ever seen them, but Morningstar Farms have chik'n strips that come in a bag, much like their ground veggie crumble. Those are good and I like to add them to salads. I picked up this along with the Morningstar Farms lasagna, which, I think, is just as new as these.

I often substitute milk for water in baked goods – depending on the recipe – cakes and cupcakes are more tender. Just found you today – and have you on my favorites. Nicely done site.

You are a douche. Just letting you know that. I love how meat eaters think acting like you do will make vegans cry or piss us off. Instead we just point and laugh. Enjoy those clogged arteries, the rotting food in your colon and later in the life the inability to get a woody. ;)

If you think eating plain vegan makes you healthier than a meat-eater you are severely delusional. There are actual studies that show that vegans have very very low protein levels and there is a specific kind of protein found in animal protein only that promotes brain development.

Absolute vegans also happen to have a lower life expectancy.
