Top 5 Frozen Breakfasts for Back to School (Ep537)
Posted by: Gregory Ng: The Frozen Food Master
If you’re a parent with school-aged kids you have 3 goals in the morning. get your kids fed, happy, and out the door in time. There are tons of convenient options to do that from the freezer aisle. Here are my top 5.
#5: Dole Fruit Smoothie Shakers Do your kids want a great breakfast on the go? There’s very few options easier than these frozen fruit smoothies. Take them out of the freezer, pour in some juice, shake, and drink! The kids love to shake and I love they are getting a fruity smoothie to start the day!
#4: Jimmy Dean Delights Turkey Sausage Muffin With 1/3 fewer calories and less than half the fat compared to competitors, you would expect these “heart healthy” breakfast sandwiches to be dry and bland. They are the complete opposite and the perfect breakfast to serve to the kids who crave the breakfast sandwiches from the fast food joints.
#3: Good Food Made Simple Oatmeal I had some serious doubts about a frozen bowl of oatmeal. But the quality of this item combined with the fresh oats makes this a must-have in a busy family’s freezer.
#2: Bridgford Monkey Bread Cinnamon Pull-Apart It seems like this product makes every top 5 list of mine. That’s because it is consistently great, quick and easy to prepare, and kids love them!
#1: DeWafelbakkers Mini Pancakes I already declared Dewafelbakkers as the best frozen pancake out there. What could make them better? How about fun mini-sized ones? You can heat these up from frozen to awesome in just 40 seconds.
That’s it for my top 5 back to school frozen breakfast items. Did I miss your favorite? Tell me in the comments!
