Freezerburns Teams Up with the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina
Posted by: Gregory Ng: The Frozen Food Master
I take food for granted. Being a food blogger and someone that enjoys eating it is easy to forget that people struggle with hunger every day.
With over 500,000 people struggling to put food on the table in this area and 1/4 of them being children, I felt compelled to do something.
I have teamed up with the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina to host and produce the 24-Hour Telethon to raise money, educate, and inspire action. For 24 hours straight I will be streaming live from the Raleigh Food Bank Warehouse!
I am asking for donations to help fight this hunger issue in our backyard. I would like you to consider donating $24 to my cause. That’s $1 for every hour I will be live on air talking about this great organization.
Thank you for your consideration!
P.S. If you are in the Raleigh area there are other ways you can participate! Learn about the free mixer, Midnight Madness volunteer event, and Patron Sponsorship opportunities here!
The 24-Hour Food Bank Telethon starts at 6:00 PM EST on September 7th, 2012 and will continue until 6:00PM EST September 8th, 2012. You can view the telethon on the Freezerburns YouTube page, The Freezerburns Google+ page, or on the Food Bank Telethon page!
